<p>Every student deserves the support they need to succeed. We need to strengthen achievement in core subjects like English and math while giving our teachers the resources they need to help students reach their full potential.</p><p>As we get better at identifying learning and developmental challenges such as ADHD, autism, behavioral concerns, and academic difficulties, we must also make early intervention a priority. Identifying challenges early and providing the right support can make a lasting difference.</p><p>Putting students first means providing the resources, support, and opportunities every student needs to succeed, both academically and in life.</p>

<h2>Students Come First</h2>

<p>Our district has some difficult budget decisions ahead. We need to be responsible with every dollar and look for savings outside the classroom first, while protecting our students and teachers as much as possible.</p>

<h2>Responsible Budget Priorities</h2>

<p>We need safer drop-offs and pickups, enough crossing guards where they're needed, and better supervision of student drivers at the high school. Every student should be able to get to and from school safely.</p>

<h2>Safe Schools, Safe Students</h2>

<p>Our students succeed when great teachers have the support they need to succeed. Gilroy must be able to attract talented educators and give them reasons to build their careers here.</p>
