I am proud to endorse Jane Stevens for Gilroy Unified School Board.
I first got to know Jane as the grandmother of two of my choir students, but it did not take long to realize that her care and generosity extended far beyond her own grandchildren. As an active choir booster, Jane consistently showed up for our program and, more importantly, for our students. When a student needed support, Jane was often one of the people quietly stepping in to help, never looking for recognition or anything in return.
That is the Jane I know. She is kind, smart, thoughtful, unselfish, and willing to do the work. Her career as a nurse reflects a lifetime of service, and as a union member she understands the importance of supporting the people who serve our students every day.
Most importantly, Jane is a fierce advocate for children. I have seen that firsthand, long before she ever decided to run for School Board. She genuinely cares about students, educators, and our community, and I trust her to bring that same compassion, common sense, and commitment to the Gilroy Unified School Board.
Jane Stevens has my enthusiastic support for Trustee Area 4.
